Considering we haven't seen anything about this Iron Man game since EA first teased the project in 2022, this leak was a big deal. Ultimately, EA determined that this leak was high-profile enough to acknowledge, as it posted on the game's official X account for the first time about the matter.
If you were hoping for an official trailer or first look at gameplay, though, you're out of luck. "Well, that didn't go as planned," the post states. "But now you know, and we've got a lot more to show you. See you when we’re ready."
Obviously, that X post gives no indication of when exactly we'll see the game again, other than "when it's ready." Although that's a little disappointing, leaks like this are out of the developer's control, give the public a glimpse at unfinished work they were never meant to see, and are not confirmation that the game is almost done.
For example, in-development footage of Marvel's Wolverine from Insomniac Games leaked in 2023, but we would not see actual gameplay for several more years. GTA 6 has also dealt with rampant gameplay leaks recently ahead of an official gameplay reveal on Netflix, much to the chagrin of its developers.
EA and Motive Studios will show us more of their Iron Man game when they deem it's the right time to do so. I know I'll be eagerly awaiting whenever that is.
